I moved to Umbria when I was 18. Since then it has been the place of my life and work. The beauty of the land, the simplicity of life, the austere appearance of its architecture are a perfect counterpoint to a visit to Rome. Together with well known destinations, such us Orvieto and Assisi, the land of St. Francis offers multiple options of exploring nature, architecture and art, food. Spoleto and Valnerina, Montefalco and Bevagna, Perugia and Gubbio.
Because of the short distances and the lack of crowds, nature, art and food can be combined in the same day. When I ask my clients and friends what part of Italy they like the most, Umbria is always on top of their list. Umbria is about being immersed in the nature but having a human touch at hand, be it an old church, the painted image of a Saint, or the smell of a kitchen in a medieval street.
